Thread Former is suitable for processing materials with a
strength of up to 1200 N/mm² or at least 10% expansion.
These

Thread Milling
Cutters with blanking dies are ideal for the manufacture of
threads for small batches. They can be used for all low to
high strength materials making long and short chips. With only
a tool holder and a few different blanking dies it is possible
to produce the most diverse thread types, dimensions and
tolerances. Reversible dies with two cuts are mainly sold -
for double use without regrinding. |

The PARADUR SECUR
Tap enables process secure thread cutting, even with deep
blind holes in soft, long-chip materials like construction
steel or case hardened steel and plain carbon steel. |

ECO-Thread Former PROTODYN CAP
|
With the ECO Thread Former PROTODYN CAP, PROTOTYP has
developed a new, patented solution for an optimised inner
supply of coolant (IK).On account of the innovative, radial
coolant outlets, the tool has a greater stability compared to
conventional thread formers with IK. The laser-welded cap also
ensures that the coolant reaches precisely the areas where it
is needed.This way, the PROTODYN CAP thread former also
functions under the most difficult of conditions, i.e. with
very deep threads in long-chipped materials. |

PROTODYN INOX |
The new PROTODYN
INOX enables efficient stainless steel thread forms on modern
machining centres with emulsion coolant that has an oil
content of at least 5%. This means it is no longer necessary
to manually supply lubricant, which was always formerly the
case when using emulsions . |

Synchrospeed Program |

With
synchronous thread cutting you don’t have to guide the tool as
this is carried out by the CNC machine. Particularly at
greater speed ranges and cutting rates the shorter thread part
ensures less friction and working temperatures. |
